Arkansas requires homeschooling families to submit annual reports. AR does not require that home educators take specific subjects or classes. The AR government does not conduct any state assessments of homeschoolers.

Arkansas is one of just two states with laws that prevent some parents from homeschooling their children based on their legal or criminal history. Arkansas policy is as follows: Sex offenders must not live in the home. Parents can petition for this to be waived.
