Officials in Minnesota chose not to adopt the mathematics standards but accepted the English language arts standards. These standards were fully implemented into Minnesota curriculum during the 2013–14 school year.

State Subject Requirements

Instruction must be provided in reading, writing, literature, fine arts, math, science, history, geography, government, health, and physical education. Instruction must be in English.
