Netflix is reviving Magic School Bus with Kate McKinnon as Ms. Frizzle
"Seat belts everyone!"
Netflix announced on Wednesday's press event that Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live, Finding Dory) will be voicing Ms. Frizzle on the upcoming Magic School Bus reboot.
"Take chances! Make mistakes! Get messy!"
Netflix has not announced a release date for the new series, which will be called The Magic School Bus Rides Again. However, the series should debut this year and will be a modernized version of the original series.
The original Magic School Bus animation series is based on the best-selling book series of well over 30 children's books. Fans can expect to watch Ms. Frizzle, an eccentric third-grade teacher at "Walkerville Elementary School," drive her elementary school class through wild field trips in the magic school bus. "The Frizz" usually doubled as the class’s highly knowledgeable teacher and the driver of the school bus.
Fan's loved the variety of subjects the Magic School Bus covered -- everything from the inside of the human body to under the sea.
"To the bus!"
McKinnon is inheriting the role from Lily Tomlin, who voiced The Frizz in the original series from 1994-97.
McKinnon is well-known for her Saturday Night Live portrays of Hillary Clinton and Kellyanne Conway. This will not be her first voice acting rodeo. McKinnon voiced roles in, "Finding Dory," "The Angry Birds Movie," and "The Venture Bros."

I LOVE the Magic School Bus and I LOVE Kate! Almost too good to be true!
Ugh, completely disagree. Can't stand McKinnon. We won't be watching this.
I don't have anything against her personal life. I just can't see her as The Frizz.
