Don’t let the title of this book fool you, it is for girls and boys of all ages who love to study bugs, beetles, and butterflies!
With 330+ pages of information, this is the most extensive public domain book for children I have seen covering the topic. With an introductory chapter on how to build a makeshift insect, the rest of the book reads like a nature study.
This is another fascinating title from Daniel Carter Beard, the man responsible for keeping young boys busy with great handy books.
