Directions for Collecting and Preserving Insects

This is a very academic volume– probably intended for college professors.  But high schoolers should be able to understand the content of this book.

The book explains how to classify, catch, and preserve insects.  There are also instructions on how to make collection boxes for various kinds of insects.

Besides its obvious use for the bug enthusiast- the book also contains a number of high-quality images: of insects, methods of preserving them, holding containers, etc.

They would work very nicely for a unit on Bugs, a lapbook, or if you color them in- clip art.
